The Full Story

Prince George Snowmobile Club

With over 150km of trails under our management, there is riding for every age and skill level available! Our single groomer is run purely by volunteers and is tasked with the job of maintaining two different riding areas! We have the Torpy Mountain Trail for our Backcountry mountain riders, and the Tabor mountain trail system for a more tame scenic route.

Torpy

The Torpy is our backcountry mountain riders paradise. After an 18 km groomed ride in on the Upper Torpy FSR, you will find a warm up shelter trucked away overlooking a large meadow on the right. Just before that on the left is "The Burn". This is the trail to the alpine where it will take you back into large bowls, vast meadows, and bottomless powder. There's a substantial amount of technical riding and it's not recommended for beginners. The alpine area is large enough even on the busiest days there's untouched areas to be found.

Tabor Mountain Trails

Our multi-use trail system is great fun for the entire family! Located at 12000 Scott Rd just southeast of Prince George, there is a massive maintained trail system with riding for all different styles. There are numerous shelters along the way where you can find large lakes and big meadows to carve around in. At the staging area is our clubhouse where we hold our monthly meetings to discuss plans and ideas to help raise funds and awareness of our club. Along the trail you can find the Yamaha Cabin warm-up shelter with a wood stove and tables inside, the Frost lake shelter right on the waterfront, as well as the Viper Cabin right on Viper lake!
